IMPORTANT SATELLITE INFORMATION TO HELP YOU TUNE IN

1.

Telstar 6 (T6 for C-band; L6 possibly for 4DTV systems) is located at 93 degrees West, which is one satellite east of Galaxy 3R. If you would like to set up early or test your equipment on another day, go to Telstar 6 and see if you can see the following programming

FOR C-BAND:

Channel 10 Fox Newsedge
Channel 7, 11, 15, 18 TV/Cable Syndication feeds
Channel 13, 17 Fox network feeds
Channel 21, 22 CBS network feeds

FOR KU-BAND:

Channel 13 Fox Satellite News Gathering feeds (SNG -- not necessarily 24-hours)

If Telstar 6 is not programmed into your system and you know how to move your dish using the remote control, start at Galaxy 3R and then move your dish approximately 18 digits EAST (the numbers will go down).

Once you establish that you are on the correct satellite, don't forget to change back to the correct Channel for our program.

If you can't find it or if you believe you are on Telstar 6, but don't see any of this programming, you'll need to have your system checked out by a professional before our program.

2.

Telstar 5 is located at 97 degrees West. You may find it by choosing "T1" or "T5" because Telstar 401 was in the same spot years ago. For setting up early, the following programming may be found:

Channel 9, 10, 13 Fox network feeds
Channel 21, 22 ABC network feeds

Once you establish that you are on the correct satellite, don't forget to change back to the correct Channel for our program.

If you can't find it or if you believe you are on Telstar 5, but don't see any of this programming, you'll need to have your system checked out by a professional before our program.

3.

It is very important for you to test your equipment as soon as possible to ensure that it is functioning properly and to see if you can get programming from one of the satellites we'll be on. Storms can cause damage and/or move your antenna out of alignment or you may not have your satellite of choice programmed in. Do not wait until test time to discover problems. If you think your dish and/or receiver are malfunctioning or not programmed correctly, have them checked out by a professional well before the program.

4. Although a Troubleshooter will be provided, we cannot guarantee the performance of your equipment.

5. Due to the high volumne of satellite activity since Sept. 11, we are unable to broadcast on the same transponder each day. In addition, on Dec. 9, the C Band satellite is Telstar 5, not Telstar 6. Please make sure your audio/visual technician or the person responsible for executing the downlink is aware to the changes.
